1. What We Collect

When you use TrendProof, we may collect:

• Email address (via Clerk authentication)
• API usage data: keywords queried, timestamps, credit consumption
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details)
• Basic browser/device info via standard server logs

2. How We Use It

We use collected data to:

• Provide and improve the Service
• Track credit usage and enforce plan limits
• Send transactional emails (billing, API key updates)
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns (no individual profiling)

3. Data Storage

User data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on infrastructure in the EU/US. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — we cannot recover your key if lost.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following processors:

• Clerk — authentication and session management
• Stripe — payment processing
• Supabase — database and storage
• Vercel — hosting and edge functions
• DataForSEO — keyword trend data source

5. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication sessions (via Clerk). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email general@trendproof.dev.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site.
